  I remember that Jack Torrance does get his chance to "redeem" himself,,,when Delbert Grady expresses his doubts about Jacks ""heart" not being in it. This was when Jack was stuffed in the storage by Wendy after she clubbed Jack on the head.

  I cant remember the exact dialog. Grady did have doubts about Jacks intentions though.

  One of the greatest movies ever!

  I just observed over the last several weeks of the SixSreens,,,Rick has implemented some new devices to block out all the idiots talking over him,,,interrupting Rick,,and making rude comments while he is trying to talk.

  It is much more pleasant and easy to listen to..

  Without some numbskulls talking over him,,calling people names and causing a disturbance.

  Way to go Rick!! If you're reading this site,,,keep doing the outstanding job you do!!!

  i've been slowly digesting another well researched book regarding christian origins.. the moral world of the first christians (library of early christianity): meeks, wayne a.: 9780664250140: amazon.com: books.

  a wonderful review of the major streams of judaism and greek religion that contributed to the ethos of the first century.

  strongly recommend it.

  "Watchtower" vs Jehovah's Witnesses

  rattigan350, whenever someone brings up the failings of the organisation we refer to as "the watchtower", tries to define the argument away by saying that the watchtower is a corporate entity and has very little to do with the kingdom halls, the christian congregation of jehovah's witnesses.. could someone who knows their stuff please explain if this is a false dichotomy, using the literature which is used by r&f jws, if possible?.

  it gets kind of tiresome when someone makes a point about something that the watchtower said and mr. apologist comes along and tries to define away what is usually a very good point..

  Rick was saying on SixSreens that the Borg may be trying to distance itself from the JWs.

  Im not really on the same line of thought or believe everything he says.

  But,,,again it could be for legal ramifications. I mean what other way would there be with the Borg?
